SPECIES PROTECTION

Species protection is connected with the most valuable, unique and rare representatives of fauna and flora. In Poland there are 584 plant species, 90 mushroom species and 732 animal species taken under strict protection. 65% of wild fauna and flora species in Poland constitute forest species.

On the area of Wymiarki Forest district four protection zones have been founded in order to preserve the population of white-tailed eagle.

The forests of the Forest District Wymiarki are classified as belonging to the I (highest) category of the fire hazard.

Fire hazard occurs, when conditions exist for a possible ignition of uncontrolled fire, which would require an organised action to put out.
